"Unfortunately our family was put into a unique situation when my husband was injured at work and we needed immediate assistance in caring for our newborn baby of just a few weeks old as I was returning to work. I called Sweet Pea in a frantic looking for immediate assistance in getting help at home at night time. Dana had an amazing baby nurse at my house to help in 24 hours. As any mother, having someone new in the home to care for a new baby was a stressful and unfamiliar experience. Our baby nurse (Hilda) not only took amazing care of our daughter during the evening, night and morning, she help ease the stress and uncomfortable feelings you have turning your baby’s care over to someone else.

Our daughter also had food allergy issues which compromised her sleeping ability and her eating habits, stools, etc. Hilda handled all of these with ease and caution. My colicky baby who cried all night, didn’t make a peep. Our nurse did whatever it took to make her comfortable at all times. Even if that meant staying up with her all night rocking and bouncing her for comfort and in some cases it did. By the end of our nurse’s stay with us, our daughter has been close to sleeping through the night and she give’s Hilda a big gummy smile every time she sees her. I would gladly keep Hilda every night if I could and all my kids (even the 5 yr old and the 2 yr old) are so so sorry we have to let her go.

"I clearly remember the night my husband gave me the best news since my daughter was born—“Hire someone, anyone, to help us get through the night!” We were both desperate and sleep deprived, and didn’t have a clue what to do with this little bundle who was up every hour all night long. I made a few phone calls and no one seemed to “get it.” They needed a week to send someone or just didn’t really understand what we were looking for. A friend gave me Dana’s name, I called, and she sent someone THAT NIGHT! I finally got to sleep and Allessandra (the night nanny) also taught me very useful things like swaddling correctly and using different sorts of diaper creams for night-time. Most importantly she got my baby on the right track for sleeping. After our blissful 10 nights with Allessandra we turned to Dana again to help us find a nanny while I was attending school and my husband was at work. We hired the first person Dana sent—Carmina—and she was truly a wonderful nanny. When my schedule changed, Carmina was not able to fit with the new hours, so Dana found someone who I now consider a dear and close friend—Nikki. Nikki lived with us and watched my daughter for over a year. She has since moved back home to Washington, but she was just here staying with us for the past 2 weeks. Nikki and my daughter had such a close and special bond, I remember the day she left when both of us were bawling our eyes out. Besides finding the absolute right fit for our family, Dana was also available for questions that came up.

We had our second daughter last summer, and she was 7 weeks premature. We had already interviewed the night nanny Dana recommended and everything was set up. But, everything changed and my baby ended up in the NICU for a little over 2 weeks. Dana was able to have someone start the night my daughter came home from the NICU, even though it was not the dates we originally had set up. I was so reassured to have someone there with her at night, especially since she had been monitored 24 hours a day in the hospital. Even though she was a preemie and not able to sleep through the night as early as some other babies, the night nanny got her on a great schedule, so that she would return to sleep immediately after eating at night.

I think that Dana has a great talent for finding people who are the right fit for your family. Most importantly, we trusted the people who she found. I didn’t have to worry about setting up a Nanny Cam, or worrying about some horror stories I had heard about other babysitters or nannies.
